A family run riding centre, it is our mission to ensure that each and every adult or child who visits us, enjoys every second of their time on Happy Hill. Whether you're an advanced dressage rider being coached on your own pony or horse, or simply want to pop in for one of our special unicorn ice creams, your happiness is our priority.
We were founded in 2004 as a dressage training yard, and each of our senior coaches has trained and, or ridden to international standard. We ensure that each and every rider is kept safe, on our highly trained school master ponies, and that our yard and stables remain a place of peaceful relaxation where you can take in the views, enjoy time with the ponies or simply take a moment to breathe.
We are ABRS (Association of British Riding Schools) approved, which gives you the peace of mind that we are not only fully licenced, but also offer the highest standards of instruction, and that our ponies receive an extremely high level of care.
Meet the team
Rudyard Equestrian is a family run business and a home from home for our visiting families. Lessons are taught by our senior coaches, Annastasia and Georgiana while Mr A. looks after the clubhouse shop - be sure to try one of his amazing ice cream sundaes or hot waffles with ice cream! (Not forgetting grandma's delicious homemade cakes). And of course, the rest of the family are on hand to support our riders, whether it be tacking up, mucking out, stable management sessions or just some fun and games in the sun.
So whether you're paying us a visit as a seasoned rider or a complete beginner, or you simply want to enjoy an afternoon out with the family for ice creams, you can be sure of a warm, family welcome on Happy Hill.
Dream, believe, achieve!
Our senior coach, Annastasia is an international dressage rider and British dressage accredited UKCC coach and has represented Great Britain on numerous occasions. She has also been a TAS scholar and more recently a member of the world class squad programme, funded by both the National Lottery and Sport England.
Annastasia has worked and trained with top international dressage trainers in both Germany and Holland, gaining a wealth of experience in training horses from unbroken to grand-prix. She uses the scales of training in a sympathetic approach which she endeavors to pass on to her pupils in her own fun and imaginative way and is happy to help any rider from intro to advanced, but her real passion is helping the young or the less confident rider achieve their goals.

We're always happy to welcome visitors onto the yard. We can show you around, answer your questions or concerns and parents are always welcome to stay and watch while your children enjoy their pony experience. Pop in and see us!

Find us on Rudyard Lane (the B5331) directly opposite the exit from Rudyard Miniature Railway, by the bridge. Come up the lane following the signs and find us at the top of the hill.
